Marmot Swallow Tent

I am in the market for an upgrade form my one man tent I used on my last
bike tour. Others I met riding have used the Marmot Swallow. Anyone have any
real problems with this tent? I know it is heavier than what I have been
using-Sierra Designs "two man" type, but the weigh is ok on the bike. Thanks
for your experience. OH, they are on sale at REI for a net of $288.00. Good

Marmot is top notch. However, on the Marmot Swallow you want to watch the
dimensions carefully because the floor it is not rectangular. See the
diagram on the REI site. If you're not too tall this won't be much of a
concern!
It is a killer tent.

Thanks for the review. there is a new one on eBay. I will bid on that for a
bit but it will probably stat getting close to the "on sale" price at eBay.
Diagram shows 96" each side of the point. that will do fine for me, plus I
will most likely be alone in it. sigh. PG

You've got to watch out for ebay because you don't have a warranty, I
don't think. Even if it's a new tent. I was going to get one of off
there too, until my friend said this. Just thought I would give you a
heads-up, but you might want to check if it's actually true.
